Wait, what? I'm doing different confessions, but thanks, Usher, for the (lame-ish?) opening.
I'm feeling a bit down today. So my grandmothers son's daughter told me that I should make a list of quirky things relating to me. Some things on the list no one knows and others may be common knowledge, but either way they are all pretty random, so here it goes:
I would rather listen to music then talk to you when we are in the car.
I can barely park and most of the time can't back out. So I have been known to park far away from my destination just to avoid this.
I have missed my exit several times before because I was jamming out to a song and not paying attention.
Hey, wait, all of these have to do with your car . . .
I know, voice in my head, but thats not a quirk and I'll start mixing it up.
The people at Noodles and Co. of Sugarhouse know me because I practically eat there every time I don't feel like Shaw (Westminster's food center).
I have no idea why my boyfriend loves me, but he does and as unexplainable as it is it's amazing.
Oh, and I love him too.
I try my hardest to make people laugh when I'm hurting the most.
I love the shower, and take really long showers because you can be alone and sing and think and cry and just be with yourself.
I wash my sheets more than average because I get the best night sleep on clean sheets.
I am very competitive and sometimes it makes me really jealous.
If I was judging a fruit contest banana would win hands down every time.

| We needed a picture break and it's funny to just see a post with a bunch of words and a single picture of a banana |
I could drink a raspberry banana smoothie everyday, and I pretty much do.
I want to live in the 60s and would love to go to the original Woodstock.
I watch documentaries habitually.
I procrastinate on a dangerous level.
I was a trendsetter with the dance solos I did. ( I did a dance in a straight jacket the next year a bunch of girls did the same)
I don't like casual texting.
I want to be a filmmaker, but I am scared I will fail miserably at it.
I got lucky and have really good skin.
I love studying economics.
I hate shoes, but love dressing up.
I love grandma patterns and grandma names like Mabel or Doris.
I think I'll stop here. I have to admit this did help me a little, maybe you got a something out of it as well; and, hey, at least I'm not as sad as I used to be.
Cheers,
Kelsie

So I work in a retirement home right? Here are some rad-ass names of the ladies I work for:
ReplyDeletePat (my fav)
Edna
Helen (x3)
Mary (x4)
Verna
Barbra (x2)
Louise (x2)
Marie
Ethel
Nell
Ruth
Bonnie
&
Donna
:) I hope these names bring you happiness because they bring me happiness on the daily.
I get REALLY high highs, but then I get really low lows. And thats why I've made kind of a happiness journal (stole this from the lady who wrote eat pray love). I try to write what made me the happiest during the day in my journal and then refer back to it when I feel down. And on days when I feel really, really good about myself, I write in my journal all of the reasons why. It's really helped me.
ReplyDeleteSo anyway I wanted to add to your list.
-You say whatever is on your mind, with pride, 100% of the time
-I come to you for your honest opinion on things because I know I'm going to get it, even if you don't come out and say it, you will always give me your honest reaction. Which I love.
-You don't care about vain things, like covering yourself in make-up and spending an hour getting ready. You are ready to go in five and look better anyway because of your easy going confidence
-Your skin pisses me off.
-Your hair never gets greasy, which is why you get to maintain your easy going aura. Suck it.
-You have really good music taste
-You are completely non judgmental, and really don't think about superficial things, ever
-You took care of your entire family as a senior
-You got straight A's while taking care of your family as a senior
-Let me elaborate what I mean by taking care of your family
-Picking your family members up
-Driving them places
-Babysitting, instead of goofing off with the rest of the carefree seniors
-Watching over your brother while your mom was in Iraq
-Dealing with an equally crazy father
-Dealing with an equally crazy family situation, period
-ETC, ETC, so many things.
-You're witty. I find random facebook comments from you that crack me up all the time.
-You once performed a dance in a SUMO costume. WTF... I loved it!
-The only video you ever made turned out to be KILLER (homeless). I loved that video, you had an awesome idea behind it. If you were to expand on it and make it into a longer one I know for a fact I would enjoy every second of it. If it's something you dream about doing, then the only bad thing that can happen is you can fail after trying. And then what? You can go on living an knowing that it wasn't for you, and you can try something else. If you really put your heart into it, all of your energy and time and faith into it, I just don't see failure as an option.
-You are the friend I've always gone to for a good time, when I need to be with someone who is accepting of anything and everything, when I need someone to help me feel comfortable being myself. I like concerts with you, and everything with you, because you never complain, and you act exactly like you, every time. You don't every try to mold to the people around you, I can always expect to be with Kelsie Marshall when I am with you. Sha-zzeeng
You weird thing, you, why would you ever be down when you have so many up qualities!
